The Fast-track C+E HGV training course covers both the Cat C (Also known as class 2) and C+E licences (also known as class 1) and (PCV) which means Passenger Carrying Vehicle Licence Category D allows you to train and earn your professional HGV/ PCV licence as quickly and efficiently as possible within the shortest period.

STEP THREE
Practical driving / training and TEST consisting of two parts. Off road and on road which needs to be completed within two years of passing step one to three.
Step three only needs to be taken if you are going into paid employment. It excludes workforce services such as schoolteacher requirements and ambulances.
WHO CAN APPLY
Anyone who is at least 18 years old, has a full car licence and wants to join the HGV industry can apply for the Licence.
Class 1 (Artic) can be booked immediately if you have a full B licence (Car licence)

This Licence Category entitles you to drive either a Draw bar or an articulated lorry up to and over 750 Kgs.

Drivers of Class 2 vehicles can legally drive vehicles over 7.5 tonnes with a rigid base if they do not exceed 32 tonnes.
Category C lorry drivers can earn up to £40k per year for a 40-45 hour driving week and can also drive fire engines and refuse lorries.
Most industries now heavily rely on Class 2 delivery drivers in towns and cities, so this can be an excellent option for new drivers.

Obtaining your PCV / PSV Licence
If you want to learn to drive a bus or coach you must have a full driving licence for a car, you have to be at least 18 years old and you have to pass a medical. For your medical, you need to take the orange form (D4 or DLM1 in Northern Ireland) to your doctor. We are happy to arrange this for you at no extra charge.
Your PCV test will last about 90 minutes. During this time your examiner will want you to drive safely to a high standard under various road and traffic conditions. You’ll be given directions clearly and in good time and asked to carry out set exercises. The set exercises will include reversing within a marked area into a restricted opening.

WHAT IS DRIVER CPC?.
Professional working lorry, bus & coach drivers must hold a valid
Driver CPC Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
The Driver CPC was introduced in 2008 under a European Union directive. It was bought in to increase Road Safety, Professionalism and Environmental awareness amongst LGV & PCV drivers in the industry. CPC stands for The Certificate of Professional Competence.
Do I need a CPC?
If you will be driving a vehicle that is over 3.5 tonnes or holding over 9 passengers and want to receive payment for doing so, then yes you do need a CPC.
I’ve already passed my Lorry or Bus licence, do I need a CPC?
Bus and coach drivers who hold a relevant vocational licence (D, D1, D+E and D1+E) gained before 10 September 2008, (including restricted vocational licence D(101) issued after 1991 and D1(101) issued before 1997) and lorry (LGV) drivers who obtained their licence (C, C1, C+E and C1+E) before 10 September 2009, do not need to take the initial qualification as they are deemed to hold ‘acquired rights‘. What this means is they have already acquired a good level of driving experience. However, they must still complete periodic training to maintain their Driver CPC
What is Periodic Training?
Your Driver CPC lasts for five years.
In order to retain your Driver CPC, you will need to complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years if you want to continue driving professionally.

✅ MORELLE reserves the right to supply a replacement instructor in the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances.
✅ Deposits are non-refundable.
✅ All courses must be paid in full at least 10 working days prior to your test date.
✅ Retest fee must be paid in full prior to booking.
✅ MORELLE reserves to change the training vehicle if required.
✅ Cancelling a course within 7 working days’ notice of the start date incurs a loss of ALL fees.
✅ Re-test once booked cannot be cancelled.
✅ When tests are cancelled by the Driving Standard Agency due to bad weather, but where we would still operate, and 24 hours’ notice is not given to us, the cost of pre-test lessons must be paid.
✅ MORELLE cannot be held responsible by the Driving Standards Agency due to bad weather, but where we would still operate, and 24 hours’ notice is not given to us, the cost of pre-test lesson must be paid.
✅ MORELLE cannot guarantee the use of the same vehicle used on training for use on test day.
✅ In a situation of a mechanical breakdown on a test day, MORELLE will provide a retest and use of vehicle inclusive of 1 hour pre-test
B + E – Trailer Training Course

Course Duration: 4-5 Days
Introduction
This course is for anyone wanting to build on knowledge of towing safely with a trailer.
To drive a B+E car and trailer. (B category on a UK driving licence is a car/4×4/van with a Maximum Authorised Mass of no more than 3,500kg).
It is now possible to tow a medium – large trailer on a B licence (such at a horse trailer or large caravan) you now acquire the B+E entitlement automatically when passing your B driving test. (This changed in autumn 2021).
Course Overview
By the end of this course, you will have a built up your trailer towing confidence and knowledge.
We will have assessed your on the road driving, and given guidance where needed.
You will have been shown how to safely couple up the trailer to the car.
You will practice reversing with a trailer, starting in a straight line, and then reversing on an angle into the coned area.

are ideal for bus/coach drivers, or drivers who are already Blue Light trained, with plenty of manual gear box experience,
and for drivers who have manual 3.5 tonne van (or lots of 4x4) driving experience and know the areas around the test centers. -
Medium size courses 6 to 7 days:
are ideal for experienced, with manual gear box, car drivers who are unfamiliar with the roads around the test centre. -
Larger course 8 days:
are ideal for car drivers who have limited manual car licence driving experience
